GCSE Year 10 Drama students went to see the production of The 47th at the Old Vic Theatre in Waterloo as a part of the schools project.

The production, a political satire set in 2024 – we see Donald Trump running again to be president with disastrous consequences.

The Year 10 really enjoyed the the Mike Bartlett ‘s production.  They responded vocally in the audience with grasps and groans to Trump outrageous dialogue in the play.

This will be followed up with the GCSE Drama Year 10  writing a  Theatre Review on the characterisation of the actor played by  Bertie Carvel, the actor playing trump and  a set design question about the impressive White House Set Design.  This will give the Year10 plenty of opportunity to practice the  exam questions before Year11.

Another successful and thought provoking Theatre Trip at SASS! Well done Year10 for  their professional behaviour and  their incredible, perceptive political comments!
