Headteacher's Letter 16.12.24

16th December 2024

Dear families,

As we come to the close of a successful term, we enter the season of Advent—a time of reflection and anticipation as we prepare for the celebration of Christmas. This season invites us to pause and consider the values of hope, joy, and peace that are central to both Christmas and our school community. We hope that the holiday provides your family with the chance to enjoy quality time together, creating meaningful memories and embracing the spirit of this special time of year.

Charity Events – December 2024

This month, we have been actively supporting a range of charity initiatives. One of our key efforts is collecting donations for our local food bank. We kindly ask for non-perishable food items only, which can be brought to tutor rooms during morning registration. Your generosity is greatly appreciated, and every contribution will make a meaningful difference to those in need.

I would also like to thank all of those involved in the running of the SASS Talent Show which took place earlier this month. This charity event was expertly put together by a team of students in the 6th form. The event showcased some of the amazing talents of students in our school. I am immensely proud of all of those that performed and for the significant amount raised for charity. Well done to all!

Staff Update

We say goodbye and thank you to the following staff who will be leaving us at the end of term. I would like to thank them all for their hard work and dedication during their time with us. The staff are:

  • Qudsia Rahna – Teacher of Maths

On behalf of the whole school community, I would like to thank them for their contribution to school life and wish each of them continued happiness and success.
