Chair of Governors at Stepney All Saints receives a Tower Hamlets Civic Award

Chair of Governors at Stepney All Saints School, Angela Hancock was awarded with a Tower Hamlets Civic Award in February 2022 for her outstanding services to the community.

Angela started her teaching career in Tower Hamlets before moving to teach in Greenwich. She returned to Tower Hamlets in 2010 and since then has worked tirelessly to give back to her community. Since 2010 she has worked with Age UK to support a better quality of life for older people in the Borough; is a voice for young people with Diabetes on the Diabetes Lay Research Panel; represents the Borough on the London Safeguarding Voices group and is a long-standing member of St Dunstan and All Saints church. She has been a Governor at Stepney All Saints School since 2011.

Head Teacher of Stepney All Saint, Paul Woods said “we are so proud of Angela on receiving her well-deserved award. We are glad that she is recognised for all of her hard work and commitment she gives not only to our school, but to the community of Tower Hamlets.
