8th October 2021

Dear parent/carer,

Covid-19 Outbreak Update

You will be aware from previous communications that we were advised by the London Coronavirus Response Cell (LCRC) and Tower Hamlets to implement our school outbreak plan, and put measures in place in order to reduce the transmission of Covid-19 in school.

These measures have been in place since Monday 20th September, and I am pleased to let you know that the rate of Covid-19 in school has significantly reduced since.

As a result, from Monday 11th October these restrictions will be lifted and we will continue to work from our original Covid-19 risk assessment, which can be viewed on our school website.

This means that students and staff will no longer be required to wear face masks in school, however we highly recommend that students should continue to do so. We also hope to re-open and allow for more mixed gatherings within reason.

I would like to take this opportunity to remind all students and their families to partake in twice weekly home-testing to help to prevent the spread of Covid-19 in the community. Test kits are available for all students to collect from their form tutor.

Yours sincerely,

Paul Woods
